It's tough to be Greenwich.

The Greenwich Town Party is an annual event put on by and for the people of Greenwich. Previous year's headliners have included James Taylor, Santana, Paul Simon, Hall and Oates, Steely Dan, and last year's "take the cake" headliner, Eric Clapton.

There are only 6,000 tickets available for the Greenwich Town Party, so even though the tickets are only available to people that live or work within the Greenwich city limits, demand exceeds supply. The limited availability of Clapton tickets last year had residents up in arms.

This year's lineup has been announced, and will feature Lynyrd Skynyrd, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, and the Beach Boys. Pretty strong, eh? Not for some. Response on the GTP's Facebook page has ranged from enthusiastic to snarky. Among the responses so far:

Not missing anything this year

From Clapton to Skynyrd...what a let down.

When is the “The Headliner” being announced?

Attention, Greenwich! You have Lynyrd %#$& Skynyrd playing in your town. Doesn't get much better than that. Now relax, get your Cartier lighter out and get ready to yell "Free Bird!"

The Greenwich Town Party happens on May 25. Tickets have already been allocated through a lottery. If you were lucky enough to get some, enjoy.
