There are those times as a parent where you are just out of options and have to take your kids along with you to work. Today was that day for me, and it was the first of it's kind. I am very proud of how they behaved. In fact, at one point Ethan even leaned over the counter and said I gotta tell you, your kids are very well-behaved.

I remember the first time my dad took me to work with him. He worked in a high rise in Manhattan. I got to take the train to the city with him, walk around looking at the buildings, and then see how important he was. I was proud of him. He bought me a big sandwich for lunch, and I got to play with the dry erase markers. It is still one of my favorite memories from my childhood.

I hope Louis and Chris remember today the way I remembered that day. If they don't, that's OK, I was just happy to have them here. They got to see me do my really cool job, and they were in awe of what actually went into doing a radio show. We also got to have fun playing with the editing equipment. I let them edit this themselves and I think it came out pretty much how I would have expected.

What kind of dad would I be if I didn't let them get their hands on the equipment?
