  • Many a delicious dinner and date night happened at this landmark restaurant. Sadly that has ended. The Red Barn in Westport opened for business fifty years ago and closed for good last week, a decision confirmed by a handwritten note on the front door. The Red Barn has been owned by the Nistico family since 1983.
  • You've heard the Police song "Canary in a Coal Mine", well how about a sparrow in a prison cell? Mexican authorities say fugitive drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman had help from a little bird when he escaped from prison last weekend. "El Chapo" reportedly used a sparrow to test the air quality in the mile-long tunnel he took to freedom.
  • Ethan tried it on-air this morning and sure enough- it works. Siri corrects users who call Jenner "Bruce." When you ask Siri, "What's Bruce Jenner's real name," Siri responds with, "Caitlyn Jenner's real name is Caitlyn Jenner." If you ask what gender is Bruce Jenner, Siri will tell you, "The answer is female." A win for transgender people everywhere.
  • Kids everywhere can rejoice.The "Hollywood Reporter" says Disney is developing a live-action prequel to the 1992 animated classic "Aladdin" which will tell the story from a different perspective. The new project called "Genies" is in its early stages, but reportedly will focus on how the famous blue Genie ended up enslaved in a magic lamp.
