Actor Lillo Brancato joined Ethan and Lou on the morning show on Thursday morning. He was on the air to promote his upcoming appearance at the Ridgefield Playhouse. He will be there this Wednesday night, and the event is free to the public. Lillo will be there talking about his experiences with drug addiction, and how it led to the darkest period of his life, which resulted in the death of an NYPD officer, and Lillo's eventual imprisonment.

I did get an e-mail from someone who was disappointed that we would let him come on and promote his event. I understood the man's point. I mean, he was involved in the tragic death of NYPD officer, Daniel Enchautegui. I responded to the e-mail by saying that we thought long and hard about it before booking Lillo as a guest. Ultimately, I decided it was the right thing to do. My thought process was that if Lillo could reach one young person who is struggling with addiction, then some good can come from it. Maybe they do not think they are worth saving because of the things they have done, and this interview can serve as an inspiration. It is debatable, and I could understand why someone would disagree with me, but that is the call I made, and I stand by it.

Having him appear on the show was in no way me trying to disrespect the brave men and women who risk their lives doing police work. Ethan and I are huge supporters of the NYPD, our local police agencies, their families and police officers all over the country.

We also got to learn some interesting things about his time filming A Bronx Tale.
