After I graduated from Ithaca College in '73 as a TV/Radio major, I was ready to tackle the world of rock radio until my best friend, Garry, asked if I would join him in forming a folk/rock duo to play clubs, coffee houses, colleges, red neck bars, etc.

So we began our journey in the summer of '73 as the folk/rock duo we named "Sunup." The advantages of trying to "make it" as full time musicians were many......I met Mindy, my wife of 38 years, we were fortunate enough to open shows for Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, Jimmy Cliff and the James Gang. After a gig, we would pack up and head to Jay's Diner on Henrietta Road, in Rochester for their famous clam chowder, and then sleep until 2 the next afternoon. We developed a local following because 75% of our songs were original tunes. Many of the tunes we covered, we rearranged, like this song from the "Rubber Soul" album from The Beatles titled, "Wait." Dig it!
