Latvia Has a Dunk Contest and It’s One of the Coolest Things I Have Ever Seen [VIDEO]

I love basketball.  i played basketball and always will and when I was a kid one of my favorite things in the world was the NBA All-Star dunk contest.  It has been horrible the last ten years.  The best and brightest in the NBA don't participate anymore.....cause they might get hurt.  BOO HOO. 

In fact I don't even watch basketball anymore.  The game has morphed into something I cannot stand.  They play isolation...it's not a team game the way it used to be.  It used to be a ballet.  The "Showtime" Lakers of the 80's...the gritty team game the Larry Bird Celtics would run.  The Genesis of the Michael Jordan triangle offense in Chicago and the no nonsense kick you while your down Isiah Thomas Pistons.  Now there is nothing like that and it translates in the NBA's dunk contest.  It's boring.  Nothing like the days of Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins going dunk for dunk.

However there is a dunk contest half way across the world that absolutely kicks ass and it's in Latvia of all places.

I wonder if they are Latvian Orthodox?

By the way...these were the glory days of the dunk contest.
