Last Minute Father’s Day Gift Ideas That Cost Nothing

If you are scratching your head about what to do for dad on Father's Day I have some great suggestions.

First and foremost don't over think this.  Men are simple creatures and fathers are even more simple. Years of sacrifice and hard work makes a man ... a father, a more basic creature who requires very little to survive and enjoy life.

The best thing you can do is to offer dad a family coupon for some space to do what he wants for the day followed by a meal of his choice with the family for dinner. One of the Ethan and Lou listeners called the show and told us that this is what he gets every year.

What could be better?  Ask any dad in an honest moment and he will tell you that peace, quiet alone time for a few hours is all we require.

Offer dad a back rub, a foot rub or any rub of any kind if you catch my drift.

Give dad a get out of jail free card. Meaning you give him a pass on the next activity he wants nothing to do with. You have to honor the coupon no matter what. You could tell him he has to attend a dance recital, a wedding, a christening, birthday party. Whatever it is he can get out of it no matter how important you say it is.

If you do this and honor it ... it will be remembered as the greatest gift you have ever given him.

And then of course there is sex.  Let your imagination run free or more importantly let his imagination run free and he will be happy.

I know you ladies insist that there has to be a purchase made of some sort for every occasion and that you won't listen to me, but you should. We don't want whatever garbage you are going to buy us.

All we want is quiet, sleep, food, sex and the ability to say "No, I don't want to go to that."
