The calendar says June 1, but the weather says March 1. And in Boston the proof is in the snow piles!

I think we can all pretty much agree that Winter in New England sucked this season! Hell it sucked all across the U.S. for the most part. But the Northeast really got slammed!

Consequently I am feeling the need for heat..lot's and lot's of heat!
I know we desperately need the rain. Which is weird coming off of such a snowy winter but I'll leave it to the meteorologists to explain that one. My question is why can't we get that rain with temperatures in the 70's on this June 1st instead of the 50's?

Honestly I also thought we'd never see the snow melt away around most of New England until mid June. But miraculously most of it faded away in April. Unless,of course, you live around the Boston area. With record snowfalls clogging the city this past winter it's no wonder they are still dealing with piles of the "white stuff", only NOT white at all anymore!

The piles are BIG..and oh so gross....

Disgusting! And since they say that even days of 80 degree temps still won't make a dent in it for quite some time I might feel marginally happier about this crappy June 1st. Um..not so much! How about you?
