This is why I constantly recommend that you take a quick look in the mirror before you hop in the car to go anywhere. According to Fox61 TV in Hartford, a Columbia County, PA, district judge actually had to inform people that pajama bottoms were not to be worn in his courtroom.Judge Craig Long even posted a sign in the lobby saying, "PAJAMAS ARE NOT APPROPRIATE ATTIRE FOR DISTRICT COURT." Judge Long has noticed that many more people are wearing pajama bottoms out in public. He told Fox61 TV, "There are some places pajamas shouldn't be worn like if you're going to church or if you're going to court."

He clarified his statement by saying that wearing pj's is OK if you were just stopping by for paperwork or to pay a fine, but jammies are not appropriate if you have business inside the courtroom.

Speaking of inappropriate, what's up with those 'white wigs' in English courtrooms?! This official courtroom attire worn by judges was popular back in the early 1800's. Someone didn't get the memo at the turn of the 20th century. They look ridiculous! Talk about a distraction. Let's move courtroom attire into the 21st century, England. Your judges look like they're wearing mops without handles on their heads.
