The music of John Lennon, both with the Beatles and solo, will echo through the theater at New Milford High School this Saturday night.  A talented group of musicians, many from "The Cast" of Beatlemania, will perform John's music in a show titled "In My Life: The John Lennon Tribute."

The part of Lennon is played by Carlo Cantamessa, who has performed as John in Beatles shows for over 30 years.  The show was originally conceived in 1998 as a one-man show with a "Storytellers" feel, as if John were performing a concert in your living room.

Over the years the show has been refined and a full band has been added, including Jim Filgate on guitar, Mike Filgate on bass and John Delgado on drums. Rather than a straight, all-music tribute show, Cantamessa dwells on his extensive Beatles and Lennon knowledge to provide the stories behind the songs. You're bound to leave the theater knowing a little bit more than you knew about Lennon, as both an artist and a person.

Fans can expect to hear many Beatles classic as well as great songs from John's solo career.  The concert is a benefit show for Theatreworks of New Milford. The show starts at 8 PM. Tickets are $25 and area available here or by calling 203-948-1059.  I have the honor of introducing this show and if you are a Beatle fan I hope you will join me!

Listen to my show weekdays from 3 to 7 PM on 95.1 FM. You can listen online by clicking here or by downloading the radioPup app for your mobile device.
