What's a 'Jam Night?" If you can sing or play, pack up your instrument and hop in the car and bring your bad self to a music shop called "The Guitar Hangar" at 270 Federal Road in Brookfield usually on the last Wednesday of the month. This is where you can play music with a bunch of others just like yourself!Rick Tedesco owns "The Guitar Hangar" in Brookfield, which is a full service music store that sells a variety of instruments, accessories, and offers lessons as well. The cool thing about "Jam Night" is, you don't have to lug any gear around and you don't have to be a professional musician, just show up, plug in, and rock out!

Mr. Tedesco, who's also a talented guitarist, has toured with his buddy, Ian Hunter, from Mott the Hoople fame, and Alice Cooper. Locally, Rick has played with Future Tense, The Doug Wahlberg Band, and is currently working with his own band, The Psycho Merchants.

Rick was instrumental in putting together the house band for my "30th Anniversary with I-95 Party" at the Ridgefield Playhouse, which featured Joe and Alex Bouchard from the original Blue Oyster Cult, along with Dennis Dunaway and Neal Smith from Alice Cooper, and Rick Tedesco and Doug Wahlberg. The best anniversary gift of all was when the band handed me the cowbell for Don't Fear the Reaper!

Check the Guitar Hangar's Facebook page for news on the next "Jam Night."
