It’s Tax Season and I Could Not Be More Depressed

It's that time of year.  We get our W-2 forms and we get to see what we made for the year and all the people who got to take that pay from us. 

It's such a nice feeling to look at the Social Security tax that was taken out of my pay for the year and know that by the time I need it it will not be there for me.  Not to mention the Federal and State withholding's.  OH and then there is the money I spent on healthcare when i did not go to the doctor once this year.

Yes it's the most magical time of the year.  Now comes the even more fun part of taking our paperwork to the accountant, paying them and hearing about how we will be screwed again.  It's a magical time of year.  Here's an idea....how about you let me keep the money I earned and let's assume that I can use that to take care of myself with that money.  If I was able to keep my money I might be in a secure financial position but I like you am not allowed access to all of my money.

It's like this unspoken angst inside all of us.  We work all year knowing we are getting screwed but most of us don't take the time to look at it in black in white everyday.  Then the end of the year comes and the numbers are too big to ignore.  GOD BLESS AMERICA!
