It’s Palindrome Week – Dates Read the Same Forward, Backward

I have to say that I never really remembered what the word "palindrome" meant until this week came upon us.

A palindrome is something that reads the same way, whether or not you read it forward or backward!  There are many words that are considered to be palindromes such as racecar and rotator. No matter if you read it frontwards or backwards, it's the same word!

So how does that relate to this week?  Well look at it this way!  This week the dates are:

No matter which way you read it, the dates the same.

According to USA Today, there will only be 26 seven-digit platforms this century, and the next time we'll see this palindrome the exact way won't be until 3015.

So next time you're out with someone this week, surprise them and make them THINK you're smart and spring this fact on them!
