It’s Official, Chimps Don’t Have The Same Rights As Humans

A New York appeals court ruled today that a chimpanzee is not entitled to the same rights as a human.

The chimps lawyer, Stephen Wise, argued that animals with certain human qualities, like chimps, deserve basic human rights including not being locked up like an animal?! The court ruled that unlike human beings, chimps cannot bear any legal duties or submit to any societal responsibilities like the throwing of their own poopy!
