Remember when you were a kid during summer vacation and you heard those glorious bells of the ice cream truck coming down your block?

Whatever you were doing came to an abrupt halt as you ran into the house yelling, "Ma, the ice cream man is coming! Can I have some money?!"

Thanks to ice cream truck owners, Elizabet and Joseph Esposito, the ice cream "man" is alive and well all summer long in Danbury serving up everything from the legendary favorite "ice cream bar," to "fudgsicles" to "drumsticks."

According to the News-Times, this husband and wife team owns J&E Ice Cream and has the vendor's contract for Roger's Park in Danbury. Elizabet's first stop is around noon time in Roger's Park, where she serves up ice cream treats until around 4:30pm.

Because she's been driving the same route for seven years, she knows many of her customers by name and can even let the parents know how fast their child's ice cream will melt.

Elizabet's blue ice cream truck will be out and about in Danbury until September, and possibly into October, if the weather stays warm. So, what's your favorite ice cream truck treat? Let's finish up with an edited version of Eddie Murphy's "Ice Cream Man" skit!
