  • There is a possible break in the Lauren Spierer case. Almost 4 years after the Greenburgh, New York girl disappeared from the Indiana State Campus, police are investigating whether a man accused of murdering another Indiana State student this past Friday is the same man responsible for Lauren's disappearance. Daniel Messel is accused in the death of Hannah Wilson after she left the same bar Lauren was at the night she went missing.

  • The "New York times" says a report issued Monday found that a failure to control greenhouse gases could lead to a 62% rise in extreme heat later this century. The study states that the frequency of extreme heat has quadrupled since the Industrial Revolution and that continued warming will increase that frequency.
