  • A Connecticut nursing home strike that would affect 27 homes in 20 cities and towns all across Connecticut is being postponed. The District 11-99 health care employees union planned to picket April 24th, but Governor Malloy has asked them to resume negotiations.
  • Beech-Nut Nutrition is recalling nearly two thousand pounds of baby food because it could be contaminated with shards of glass. The food was produced in December 2012 and doesn't expire until 2016. It includes 4oz. glass jars of Beech-Nut Classics sweet potato and chicken.
  • Keno is back up for debate at the state house today. A public hearing is scheduled. Keno was approved in Connecticut in 2013 and repealed in 2014. The lottery supports the bill and about 600 bars and restaurants want to offer Keno according to Fox CT.
  • Oh baby! Billy Joel, who is 65, has gotten his 33-year-old girlfriend Alexis Roderick pregnant! Let's think about that for a moment. Billy's daughter Alexa Ray,  know,sort of creepy about the names, is 29-years-old. Thank goodness Billy has gigs ongoing at Madison Square Garden because there's ex-wives to pay and diapers to buy.
