  • The 119th running of the Boston Marathon steps off today along with heavy security. Thousands of runners  are competing a day before the start of the penalty phase in the Boston Bombing trial.
  •  Police are warning people to be on the lookout for a bad batch of heroin in bags labeled "Ronald Regan" with a red stamp of the President. Last week 3 people died after using, and about 20 bags are believed to be ciculating the streets of Connecticut.
  • Never Forget! 16 years ago today Littleton, Colorado - as well as the whole nation- changed forever. Two young men went on a shooting spree at Columbine High School killing 13 people and wounding more than 20 before taking their own lives. The tragedy put a national spotlight on school violence and bullying.
  • A bill to allow terminally ill patients use experimental drugs is making it's way through the Connecticut General Assembly. It's been dubbed the"right to try" law and if passed, sick patients could try drugs without FDA approval if recommended by their doctors.
