It's safe to say that I had never put all that much thought into the song, "Baby It's cold outside," but this morning, I woke up, and I am reading articles about how the song contains date rape references.

That prompted us to look up the lyrics, and completely over-analyze the song top to bottom. I wanted to get an i95 staff consensus on this, so we brought Pam Brooks and Tim Sheehan into the studio to join us for a colorful conversation about whether or not we think the controversy is valid, and that the song contains "date rape" connotations:

One minute, Will Ferrell and Zoey Deschannel are singing the song in a children's movie, and some short years later, the song is finished and completely inappropriate. I just don't know which way is up anymore. As with most things, I should NOT have thought too deeply on this one.
