I Wish Morcey’s in Waterbury Would Come Back for Brews & BBQ 2015

I spent a good portion of the 80s and 90s at Morcey's Restaurant in Waterbury.

When it closed, I was gastro-devastated. Michelle Morcey is a friend, and an excellent journalist that writes for the Waterbury Republican-American, and she wrote a piece about a reunion of some of the former co-workers in her weekly column Waterbury Walkabout a while back.

With all of the places that have been announced as participating in this year's Brews and BBQ 2015, it got me thinking about Morcey's Adam's Basket again.

I wish I could talk Peter Morcey Sr & Jr. into busting out their signature BBQ cuisine, just for one more day. Believe me, I've tried many times over the past 15 years.

Nostalgia - but now it's time to take things to the future - there are some excellent BBQ masters coming to our event on Saturday May 16th. We've lined up a huge assortment of beer makers also, and Robert Randolph and the Family Band are going to ROCK the Ives Concert Park.
