The most important reason why this could be one of the greats is Darth Vader. We do not know how much time he will be on screen but we know from the trailer that he will. I mean why revisit this time period in the Star Wars saga unless you make Vader the centerpiece? It would not make any sense. I am willing to wager however that it will not be a lot of screen time but just enough to keep Star Wars fans salivating for more.

Then you have actor Ben Mendolsohn.

This Aussie actor is amazing. I became aware of him when I got hooked on the Netflix show: "Bloodline." He plays Director Orson Krennic who is the main antagonist in the film according to what I have read. He played a great bad guy in "Bloodline" and I am expecting big things from him in this one.

Finally, you have new landscapes we have never seen in a Star Wars film. When I first saw the "Rogue One" trailer I was shocked to see a clip of storm troopers walking down a beach. At first I was put off by this and thought it looked so out of place. I have since changed my mind. For the many story lines that Disney has planned for the upcoming movies you have to break out of the expectations of the fans. If you don't it will be the same film over and over again. I am all in on Star Wars "Rogue One" hitting theaters on December 16th.
