French fries, covered with cheese curds and gravy, is better known as Poutine. This marvelous combination originated in the Great White North of Quebec, Canada, eh buddy. I became aware of this dish at Epcot at Disney World of all places. Mrs. Large and I had dinner at Le Cellier Steakhouse, and I inhaled a plate of poutine with my Molson. I fell deeply in love.

This past Sunday, I had brunch at Little Pub at 26 Danbury Road in Wilton. The first menu item that caught my eye was their "3AM at the Diner Fries". You can't fool me Little Pub, this was poutine. The listed ingredients are fries, cheddar jack, chopped bacon, and chicken gravy. Holy $&it, just thinking about how good this was, my stomach is playing Beethoven's 5th. Perfectly cooked fries, BACON, intensely smooth chicken gravy, and the cheese.....oh...the cheese...

The poutine was perfection. A great start to what turned out to be a very memorable meal. I washed the poutine down with a French onion burger. Yes, a French onion burger. Oh my stars.

I ate the delicious garden salad that you see attached to the burger also. All in all? One of the best meals that I've eaten in a long time. Little Pub is a very cool place, they have four locations in Fairfield County: Wilton, Ridgefield, Fairfield and Greenwich (Cos Cob). It was awesome seeing artist-signed Ridgefield Playhouse concert posters hanging on the wall in Wilton, it made me feel like I was at work, we have quite a few of those here too. Excellent job Little Pub, you've made a big fan out of Large
