So this is my sister Anna she is now 14.  She has Down syndrome.  She is my love.  She has no reason to ever be shamed or made fun of. This girl recently got made fun of and these great young boys cam to her defense. I could not be happier to know that there are still kids out there with the moral fabric to have someone's back that needs it.  Thank you boys.

I've had people make Down syndrome jokes in front of me and I never say anything.

#1 they don't know that my sister has it.

#2 They don't know or care the effort, love and care that goes into raising a Down Syndrome child.

I don't say anything because I cannot make the jokes and observations that I do and be offended. I don't get offended. I do know that people only get offended by what they know ... what they are afraid of.

I'm not ever ashamed about my sister.  She is my family.  However, if I ever saw a person, any person make fun of my sister in front of my face you can be sure that I will immediately resort to violence.  I know that is not the answer, but I would.

These kids handled it the right way.  Better than I would.  I am happy there are kids like this still out there.  For all that i have done and said I would never sit quietly and watch someone be bullied or made fun of that not deserve it.

I love you Anna.  There are angels among us that have your back.
