Hunker Down People …The BIG COLD is Coming, Some Tips to Get You Through It

For the next 48 hours, the greater Danbury area forecast closely resembles the forecast in the Russian region of Siberia.

Lows tonight between 0 and 5 above and then 14 for the high on Friday and down to -1 below on Friday night.

Here are just a couple of tips for when it gets obscenely cold:

1. Make sure your pipes are covered. Better yet, wrapping them up with heat tape is the way to go!

2. Don't let your yappy lap dog outside for more than a few minutes. You don't need "Snowball" freezing solid in mid-pee.

3. The slippery ice on the driveway and walk way are out to get you. They want to see you writhing in pain as you fall haphazardly on your already aching back from shoveling.

4. To eliminate the dangers from #3, purchase an "ice helmet" ASAP! There is nothing worse than the sound of a sickening "crack" of the head when your "dome piece" connects with the ice.
