Jan. 21 has been deemed a day to HUG IT OUT. It's good for your health. Happy National Hug Day!

According to Dr.Joe Rock with the Cleveland Clinic, studies have shown a hug can be healthy. Our bodies actually benefit from the simple outburst of emotion!

Dr. Rock says hugging has a therapeutic effect on people. Researchers have found that hugs can lower the output of the stress hormone cortisol and cause a surge of "feel good"  brain chemicals.

The good Doc Rock says people should pass up handshakes and hi-fives today and GIVE A HUG INSTEAD.

In Pam Jam land EVERY DAY is HUG DAY... have you met me? You know I'm a hugger ... all of the time! Now come on over here and give me a squeeze :)
