I was talking with Ethan Carey about this on the Ethan and Lou show, and he mentioned how he didn't recognize anyone but Cespedes. Being that I had not seen the game, I went and looked up the lineup and wow. That's some murderers' row.

Here it is 1 through 9:

1 - Alejandro De Aza

2 - Neil Walker

3 - Yoenis Cespedes

4 - James Loney

5 - Asdrubal Cabrera

6 - Kelly Johnson

7 - Brandon Nimmo

8 - Rene' Rivera

9 - Logan Verrett (P)

Shockingly, they did not win. How could you? There is no meat there. What's worse than having so many of your bats on the disabled list, and having your scrubs not hitting, is that your young pitching staff is either under performing or fighting a nagging injury. Both Stephen Matz and Noah Syndergaard are dealing with elbow issues. Both have said they want to pitch through these bone spurs and both have had a terrible month of June.

There is no reason Mets for fans to panic yet, but you don't want to put yourself so far out of this thing now, that you burn all your arms and energy at the latter half of the regular season, just trying to claw your way into the playoffs. I am not a Met fan, but to all of you out there, I feel your pain.
