Gin, Vodka, and Bourbon - it's all coming to Roxbury, hand made in an old train station and cigar factory.

According to the Greater New Milford Spectrum Roxbury resident, 57-year-old Elliot Davis will begin taking apart an entire section of buildings left over from the industrial revolution of the 1800's that he purchased in 2015 for $237,000. The dilapidated factory, cigar workshop, coal shed, and train station will be dismantled board by board to make way for Mine Hill Distillery, which will sell craft spirits.

Davis's goal is to bring all of the buildings back to life as they looked when they were built back in 1850, but on the inside, all the creature comforts of modern technology including flat screen TVs will be included. The 1,300-square-foot garage has already been transformed into a modern day rack house, which is a multi-floor building where barrels of whiskey are stored as they age.

As they did back in the day, Elliot Davis plans on manually rolling barrels of booze downhill to the rack house after they've been crafted. Workers have already carved back the walls to find the original style of construction in order to give the outside of the distillery an authentic mid 1800's look. The old cigar factory has already been outfitted with steam-pump quirks, 1800's bubble glass, along with wood from old box cars. Davis is hoping everything will be ready to roll for a Thanksgiving opening.
