Wow, this musical sounds like so much fun. Time to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the holidays and get your laugh on in Danbury.

One of the many gems that Danbury has to offer is the Palace theater. The Palace Danbury on Main Street provides entertainment and more. Some holiday flair, fun and festiveness rolls in this weekend in the form of a musical called, "The Mistletoes Take a Holiday."

The Place Danbury welcomes the return of Musicals at Richter, Connecticut’s longest-running outdoor theater, as they bring this treat indoors.

“The Mistletoes Take a Holiday,” a new family musical crafted like the fabulous holiday television extravaganzas of years ago.

The blurb from The Palace Danbury website says in part that the musical is set on Christmas Eve in 1965, and follows the adventures of The Mistletoes, America’s favorite singing sisters, who have just wrapped up their Christmas tour and are heading home for the holidays when a sudden winter storm strands them in Danbury, Connecticut.

As fate would have it, the girls seek shelter at The Palace Theatre where a sold out audience has braved the storm and is ready to be entertained. Turns out the evening’s headliner is stuck in the snow and can’t make it to the Palace. In the true spirit of Christmas, The Mistletoes step in and save the day with their holiday show.

The rest, as they say, is history. And a ton of laughs as well. Want to check it out for yourself?  Performances are Friday, Dec.16 and Saturday, Dec. 17 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Dec.18 at 3 p.m. at The Palace Danbury, on 165 Main Street.
