They're serving Crickets at a Uconn Storrs Food Truck

I've seen many things that I won't eat come out of food trucks before, but there's one thing sure as sh%t that I will not chow on, crickets!

Yes, crickets are now being served out of a food truck at Uconn's main campus in Storrs. According to a post on Uconn's DailyCampus.com , the "Food for Thought" food truck is serving up crickets as a topping for their tacos. Crickets, reportedly, are high in protein, iron, zinc, and B vitamins. They're also high in legs, wings, and bug poop.

I stomached the Tofu rage, the Kale movement, and watched Survivorman drink his own urine. I will not eat crickets. I don't care if these same nutrient-listing scientists figure out that eating a cricket a day will make me more regular, I'm not going to let one Jimminy Cricket pass these teeth. To paraphrase Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction - "Hey, sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I'd never know 'cause I wouldn't eat the filthy mother______"

Word Samuel L., word.
