Don't get pulled over and get an expensive traffic ticket ever again. Just follow these simple rules and you'll be less likely to get pulled over in Danbury.

According to a recent report published in Danbury Patch, the Danbury Police Department conducted 6,182 traffic stops from Oct. 1, 2013 through Sept. 30, 2014.

  • 0.4 percent; equipment violation

  • 14.1 percent; registration offense
  • 1.1 percent; seatbelts
  • 2.3 percent; stop signs,
  • 0.4 percent; suspended license
  • 7.6 percent; failure to obey traffic control signals
  • 0.5 percent; window tint and 6.6 percent; other.

So, just make sure you have all your bases covered, avoid any of the above pitfalls and you should be good. At least while your driving around Danbury.

Just remember if you're negligent there is a good chance you will be issued a ticket for your violation, as Danbury had the highest percentage of infractions issued among all municipal departments.
