Finally, we have some much needed rain coming our way, after a very long an sunny summer season.

I'm not complaining because I loved our sunny Summer, however my lawn and I'm sure yours are very brown these days!

According to NBC Connecticut, flood watches are in effect for our area as rain moves into our region. In addition to the scattered showers arriving today, early Wednesday will feature some heavy downpours.

In addition to the heavy rain coming tonight and tomorrow, the next focus will be on Tropical Storm Joaquin, which is headed up the eastern coastline. Right now, it looks like heavy rain and wind could hit us Friday and Saturday.
