So the N.M. PD did a big thing and hooked up with the A.T.F. for a big bust.

According to the News-Times, the New Milford Police Department assisted the Department of  Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms in apprehending a fugitive during a raid on Wednesday morning on Park Lane Road.  No further details are available at this time.

Good for them.  I think our local police departments are top notch.  So many obvious examples of their heroism come to mind, but I think this is a big deal.  We are talking about a fugitive here and the fact that no other details are available at this time means that this person did something bad enough that they have to cross their T's and dot their I's before they can release a full statement.

Again boys, congratulations.

I wanted to be in law enforcement. I was close to it at one point. Very close. My grandfather was a cop in Mount Vernon, NY.  My step-grandpa was the chief of police in Armonk (North Castle). I always have liked the idea of helping people when they are at their lowest and most desperate point.

I also always believed that I have risen to the occasion in emergencies.

Most of what people call:  "life" bores me.  I like to be in the mix, helping, being part of the community and let's be honest on some level you have to have an ego to do that job and I've never been short on that.

The most important thing though is no matter what you say about policeman, fireman or first responders when you are on the wrong side of them....you cannot debate one thing, the most important thing. .........They risk their lives everyday for strangers.

You cannot put a price on that.  We should though.  POLICE, FIRE, FIRST RESPONDERS, TEACHERS, SOCIAL WORKERS....should absolutely be paid like celebrities and athletes.

Also, how cool did these New Milford cops feel the other day working with the A.T.F.?

It reminds me of one of my favorite shows......I wanted to be a Federal Marshall the minute I saw the fist minute of the show "Justified."

Sorry about your tablecloth!  PRICELESS
