- Men, women, kids...get ready! The Hartford Yard Goats have unveiled their new logo. The minor league baseball team will begin play next year wearinggreen and blue, a tribute to the former Hartford Whalers.The team,wearing the goat logo, will begin play April 2016 in Dunkin Donuts Park, north of downtown Hartford.
- Bella Rosa is recalling 30-thousand pounds of grated Parmesan cheese over concerns the cheese may contain ingredients that could trigger a severe, or even life-threatening, allergic reaction in people with egg allergies.The cheese is sold exclusively at BJ's Wholesale Clubs in 14 states, including Connecticut and New York. If you have the one-an-a-quarter pound jar with a "sell by" date of July 13th, August 17th and September 10th you can return it to BJ's for a full refund.
- South Carolina voted early Thursday morning to remove the Confederate flag from state capitol grounds and house it in a museum. South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley said it is a "new day in South Carolina."
