Do the big-wigs think they can solve that by building a baseball stadium there?

In a story from courant.com, the greater Hartford area lost close to two-thousand people between 2014-and-2015. Census Bureau data even shows that Hartford is in the top ten cities that people are moving away from.

Speaking of moving away, that's exactly what the former New Britain Rock Cats did, they moved to Hartford! In light of folks moving out, perhaps the owners and city officials really believe the "build it and they will come" mantra. Problem with that - Hartford can't even get this lavish stadium completed.

In another story just covered by HartfordCourant.com it looks like the Hartford Yard Goats will be playing at least their next ten home games at Dodd Stadium in Norwich. To top that off a three-game series that is scheduled for Hartford in mid June will now have to happen in Pennsylvania.

Feels like the team's home opener has been changed as many times as one changes their underwear! We'll be lucky if Dunkin' Donuts Park is ready for the team's newest Hartford home opener in early July. Doesn't bode well for the, they will come, concept.
