Happy Birthday my friend I miss you as we all do.

Jim Clarke worked at I-95 in many roles for many years.  He was a friend to all of us.  The most likeable guy in the world.  My experience with him was in his last 15 or 16 years at the radio station.  We were always friendly but the last 10 years of his life we were friends.

Jim would have been 62 years old today.  He died just under three years ago.

The best thing from my experience with Jim was kinda weird.  Him and I were already friendly.  We were both candidates for the morning show after Omelet left.  They paired us against each other on the morning show for like a JOKE-OFF and it was really funny.  When we were done he said and i quote:  "You should get this job, you are the one."  Neither one of us got it and Neil Hedley was hired.  Jim and I stayed on in the roles we had before that.

As the years progressed no matter how much he wanted to do mornings he did nothing but encourage me.  I have no problem saying that Jim Clarke had a huge impact on my career.

He was funny, sincere and most of all humble.  He did not have to be but he was.  His radio career, sense of humor and love for his friends should be recognized and respected.

You are missed friend.
