According to NBC Connecticut, police say Hamden High School was placed on lock down this morning after a student made "basketball moves" on a teacher.

The school, according to the report, was evacuated. The student in question made a move at the teacher, and according to her, made a fist -- she retreated and alerted other teachers. According to the school resource officer, the kid was running the halls and made a basketball dunking move.

I don't know what really happened here. I was not there, but if it is how it reads, then this is just a side effect of the world we now live in. I can't blame for teacher for taking off, and kids will be kids. So, what do you do?

The fact is we have teachers who are scared to go to work. We have cops, paramedics and firemen all afraid to do their jobs. We entrust these people with our children and our lives. The teachers are scared, and rightfully so.

What do you do? I really don't know the answer, but an unarmed teenage kid acting up in the hallways, turning into a locked down, evacuated school is BANANAS.
