I live in Waterbury. I work in Brookfield. Ughhhh

I take I-84 typically to get to and from work. I, like you, am at the mercy of the Connecticut D.O.T., and have had to put up with the "Rochambeau Project" in Southbury for the better part of a year now. Typically, it's not too bad, but during these Summer months, it's brutal. I've started taking the scenic route to get around this. Now, I just read a news release from the DOT. IT'S ONLY HALFWAY DONE...

The only good news is, at this halfway point, they're going to shift traffic onto the "NEW" portion of the road that they just rebuilt. So those old, gnarly potholes that have been destroying my struts over the past year are going to be forgotten and dug up soon. BUT STILL. Another year or so before this project is complete. And don't even get me started about the other recent news, that Federal funding has dried up for the addition of a 3rd lane of traffic between Danbury and Waterbury.....ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
