Guns N' Roses' famed (former?) penchant for lateness could work against them. The group have a strict curfew of 1:00AM for their concerts tonight (April 16) and next Saturday at the Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival.

According to Coachella's promoters, Goldenvoice, the band are scheduled to play from 10:30PM to 12:50 AM. Last Friday's tour opener at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, which featured to the return of Slash and Duff McKagan to the lineup for the first time since 1993, didn't start until shortly before midnight and ended around 2:30AM. Of course, to be fair they weren't operating on a festival's timetable then, plus, the following night's Vegas show started much earlier.)

One seemingly minor aspect of the group's plans is already a bit behind schedule. TMZ posted the above video of their broken-down tour bus on the side of Interstate 10 in Fontana, Calif. Guns N' Roses weren't on the bus at the time -- it was en route to pick them up in Indio, Calif. But the necessary repairs were made and the bus went on its way.

If the band were to play beyond 1:00AM, history shows that it will come at a price. Back in 2009, Paul McCartney was fined $1,000 per minute when his Coachella slot ran roughly 50 minutes beyond the midnight curfew, and the Cure had the power cut off when they went 33 minutes late. The next year, the curfew was extended to 1:00AM. Three years later, McCartney was involved in another high-profile example of staying out too late. He was sitting in with Bruce Springsteen at the Hard Rock Calling festival in London's Hyde Park, finishing up a performance of "Twist and Shout," when the police ordered that the sound be cut off.
