The Danbury Police and Fire Departments have been squaring off in hockey and softball events for over 15 years. The rivalry continues on May 5 at the Danbury Ice Arena.

The Guns 'N Hoses hockey game makes its triumphant return after taking last year off. The game starts at 4 PM at the Ice Arena on May 5. Tickets will be available at the door for $10 with proceeds to benefit two local charities. The Danbury Fire Department will be playing for the MDA Foundation, and the Police Department's charity is the Fraternal Order of Police Widows.

The Police and Fire Departments ask attendants to be in their seats by about 3:45 for opening ceremonies, and then it's an afternoon of, (their words not mine,) "good guys playing mediocre hockey." They'd love to pack the arena and give the fans a great game. The Ice Arena is at 1 Independence Drive in Danbury, with parking available next door at the Patriot Garage.
