Greater Danbury Expected to See Very Chilly Temperatures Tonight

With only five days left until the official first day of fall, tonight might be a better time than ever to just snuggle up with some Netflix and chill — literally.

According to the National Weather Service, skies will be mostly clear Wednesday night (September 18) into Thursday morning, but temperatures are expected to drop into the low 40s, which are the lowest overnight temperatures in several months.

Outside of our immediate area, some of the most northern parts of Connecticut will get so downright cold tonight, that a hazardous weather outlook has been issued. The report says that there "is the possibility for some spotty frost conditions with lows
getting down as low as 36 degrees into Thursday morning. FROST ADVISORIES
may need to be expanded to areas elsewhere other than the mid-Connecticut
and Pioneer River Valleys in northwest MA."

Aside from likely being forced to grab an extra blanket tonight, things are expected to warm up a bit later in the week as we scratch and claw for the last bit of summer, headed into the autumn season. Both Saturday and Sunday are currently predicted to be sunny and clear with highs of 82 degrees.
