Not too long ago, I was bemoaning the not-so-nice New England Spring, and my intense dislike and mistrust of Punxsutawney Phil. But give me a forecast of temperatures in the 60s and 70s, and I'm ready for outdoor adventures. What I should really be doing this weekend is working on the garden, or fixing up and getting the decks open for lot's of outdoor gatherings. But, I think some fresh air and exercise might be more in order. It's time to get ready to work off some of the Winter blues, maybe some pounds too. After all, bathing suit season isn't too far away.

So, if you feel like hitting the road this weekend to walk or hike some trails, I've got some ideas for you. While there are many places to hike in the state, CTVisit.com has broken down Connecticut's Top 10 Hiking Trails, complete with why they are THE spots to not miss.

Grab your sneakers or hiking shoes, don't forget to stretch, and then head on out to experience some of the beauty of Connecticut.
