Thai food is delicious, and there are a few places that do it well around Connecticut.

Thai Food is an explosion of flavors that showcases bold curry and spices, peanut and fresh citrus flavorings over fresh vegetables, noodles, and meats.

Thai is where the healthy buzz is. I've been to a few of the many restaurants that have shown up around Western CT, and here's what I experienced. My favorite Thai Restaurant is near my hometown of Waterbury, in Wolcott (Pronounced Wool-cut, not Wool-cot!) Thai Palace.

It's located at 1387 Meriden Road, near the Crosby High area of town. The cuisine is delicious, I usually order the Shrimp Pad Thai, and the owners of the restaurant are such nice people, very gracious and they always take the time to explain the menu if you are unfamiliar.

Another place that my friends are talking about is in Southbury-- Samui Thai Cuisine, located at 385 Main Street South in the same complex as Nardelli's. I've also been to Thai Berry Kitchen on Rt.25, Main Street in Monroe.

Not the fanciest place, but the food was excellent, and that's all that really matters! And although it's not techically a Thai food place, Pho Vietnam Restaurant at 56 Padanarum Road in Danbury is also an excellent location to get your feed bag on!
