Going Out for Thanksgiving Dinner? Check Out My Favorite Restaurants

The Good News Cafe in Woodbury, CT is fine dining at its best but it's not cheap. The atmosphere is eclectic and a bit noisy but not obnoxiously so. The food? My God, the food! Owner and head chef, Carole Peck has won numerous awards from Connecticut Magazine for her imaginative menus. This great fine dining restaurant is Mindy's and my go-to "special event" restaurant. I know, the restaurants I'm choosing may be out of your price range, but since Mindy and I have cut back on eating out, when we  do go out for dinner, we enjoy "over the top" deliciousness. The Stonehenge is also one of those restaurants. Every once in awhile you need a sommelier to chose, open, and serve the wine. You need a menu choice you can't pronounce. Located at the Richter Park golf course in Danbury, Mindy and I have treated ourselves and friends to Cafe On The Green many times over the years. Their food has been consistently deliciousio and a bit less pricey than my previous three choices. I consider this restaurant a "gourmet italian" eatery but everything on their imaginative menu is mouth watering good, just take a look at their Thanksgiving menu.

I love a restaurant that exemplifies the look and feel of what New England is all about and the newly remodeled Spinning Wheel Inn in Redding is a perfect example. I've DJ'd dozens of weddings and attended many a holiday party at this cozy romantic restaurant.
