How cool would it be to be able to bike, skate, walk or run, all the way from New York City to Buffalo on one connected trailway?

Well, it’s in the works according to NYCurbed. What Governor Cuomo is doing will enable us to travel this way and see many of New York’s cities, towns, parks, scenic outlooks, and more on the Empire State Trail. It will be a 750-mile path. The thought is, it will further enhance tourism, and is slated to be completed in 2020.

According to the Governor's office, it will be the largest multi-use trail network in the nation. His plan is for all 750 miles to be paved. Some areas of the trail are already paved, and just need to be connected. It will complete the Erie Canalway, and link that to the Hudson River Greenway, which runs along the west side of Manhattan to Battery Park, and just about extending to the border of Canada. Starting in 2020 vacationing in New York should be a lot more fun thanks to the Gov!
