The International Beer & Food Festival is coming to the Danbury Green on Saturday, June 11.  We'll feature great beers from all over the world, international food from our area's many multi-cultural restaurants, and some cool international music too.  You can get a preview of one of our international bands Saturday night.

Danbury's own Mighty Ploughboys have been making a name for themselves throughout the Northeast over the last several years.  They play Rocked-up versions of traditional Irish songs, as well as some great original songs with a distinct Irish flair.  Their last album got airplay on over 100 college radio stations nationwide, and they are hard at work on the next one.

The Ploughboys will be playing this Saturday night (21st) at the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center on Lake Avenue. The Pie-Eyed Preachers, an Irish band from Philadelphia, will open the show.  Things get rolling at 7:30. The cover charge is $10 which includes free Coors Light until the keg kicks.

Once you've seen the Mighty Ploughboys, we know you'll want to come back and see them again at the International Beer & Food Festival along with reggae from Black Rock Social and steel drum music from Silver Steel. Get your tickets here- early bird tickets are just $10!

Here's the video for the Ploughboys' latest single, "Up and Down."
