Permaculture. Do you know what it is?

Since I'm an alum of Western Connecticut State University I always try to pass along events related to the school.

This one fascinated me. They are having a Permaculture Dinner.

Honestly, this college grad had not a clue as to what that was. It turns out that Permaculture is defined as the development of agricultural ecosystems intended to be sustainable and self-sufficient. Okay then, let's eat!

On the page where you can purchase your tickets to the Permaculture Garden Fundraising Dinner, the blurb says that Permaculture is based on planting species that work well together in given environments. So, again, I say, "Let's eat!"

Sustaining the earth while sustaining ourselves is an excellent idea. Please help support the program at WCSU, by attending the Dinner in a Bite fundraiser this Friday October 14 from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. in the Ballroom of the Campus Center on the Westside campus, 43 Lake Avenue Ext. in Danbury. The public is invited. For info or to buy tickets click on Dinner in a Bite

By the way, my alma mater is celebrating homecoming with events on both campuses from October 14 - October 22. Click on Wesconn Homecoming Week for a full listing.
