According to Page Six Pete Hegseth of Fox News admitted Sunday on Fox & Friends that he has not washed his hands in 10 years. Here's the quote:

My 2019 resolution is to say things on-air that I say off-air. I don’t think I’ve washed my hands for 10 years.

That's questionable judgement at best. This -- This, is not my kind of guy. We live in a society, Pete. I see poor hygiene every day and I'm amazed at what people are not willing to do. People (MEN), apparently are not willing to shave the tufts of hair on the back of their neck, maintain their ear hair, eyebrow hair and so many of you refuse to clip your toe nails. I only know this because you wear sandals -- I don't know why, but you do, and they should be banned.

The basics in personal upkeep are ignored by so many, but I'd like to believe in something. I'd like to believe that we can all, at the very least, wash our hands. We have this custom in America, where we greet one another with a hand shake. We are socially obligated to touch. I don't like it, but I don't write the social rule book. I don't want to think, I want to believe in something. I want to believe that I can trust you to wash your hands.

Pete, do better. That's disgusting.

If you think there are more important issues to cover, you would be wrong. This is the least we can do for one another in a dangerous, disgusting world. Let's start back at the beginning if we have to. Let's go back to basics and make sure we can get everyone to wash their hands and brush their teeth.

Next class, we will cover saying "please" and "thank you." After we are sure we have those tackled, we will have the building blocks to get to human decency.
