The Connecticut shoreline boasts some great activities and lots of beauty. Time for an adventure.

The lists are long for what dad wants for Father's Day. I don't profess to know exactly what any man would really want, but I do know that food is the way to a man's heart.

I also know, first-hand, of the beauty of the Connecticut shoreline around the New London and Mystic area. So, if you're up for a drive, you might want to take the men in your life down to the Food Truck Festival in New London on Saturday, June 18 from 6 PM - 9 PM, featuring music and free activities for the kids, if you have them in tow. You can let the men loose to wander and eat. Then, on Sunday, Father's Day, you can give them what they really want. Solitude!

By the way, there are a lot of great things to see and do around the New London area and the historic waterfront district. So, even if this weekend doesn't work for you, you can get info on other events, as well as, shopping, restaurants and more at NewLondonMainStreet.org
