This Friday night, October 16, my wife Mindy and I kick off an evening of free live music starting at 10pm at Widow Browns Cafe at 128 Federal Road in Danbury across from Stew Leonards. We'll cover tunes from James Taylor to the Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel to Tom Petty, and the Eagles.Mindy and I met when I was trying to become a rock star back in the mid '70's. She was  a huge fan of our acoustic trio, "Sunup," We were introduced by a mutual friend and began going out in May of '73, got hitched in May of '76 and next year in 2016, we'll celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Here's one of our original studio recordings from 1975. Our only album, recorded in June of '95, is called 'Saratoga Sunrise,' and is available on itunes.

Singer/Songwriter Ethan James has a vocal and song writing style all his own. I call it 'acoustic music in your face!' Many of the tunes he plays live, he's written himself, which he combines with some covers that he rearranges to fit his unique style. To get the full Ethan James experience, one must see him live. Ethan will go on at 12 midnight this Friday at Widow Browns. Stop your crying and take a nap! Here's one of Ethan James's originals! Come on out and enjoy an evening of music from the freakin' Von Trapp Family!!
