More details have become available about the Fairfield man who allegedly beat his wife and children on the morning of February 16.Andrew's 15 year old son told the Connecticut Post that 'his father was acting possessed and his mom was bleeding from the head. The son also said he had never seen his dad act that way before.' Christopher Andrews was shot and killed by Fairfield police officer, Sean Fenton on the morning of February 16 after Andrews allegedly beat and stabbed his wife and children. Andrew's wife, Kathleen has recently been released from the hospital and is recovering from her injuries.

After her release from the hospital, Kathleen Andrews released a statement thanking the doctors along with the overwhelming support shown by the community. She also said that she was disappointed with the inaccurate reporting of that morning's events and labeled her husband as a devoted father, husband, and friend.

According to a ctpost.com article dated March 18, it appeared that Christopher Andrews cut his own wrists and his neck with a knife, which was the same knife that he was holding when Officer Fenton ordered him to stop approaching. When Andrews ignored the officer's warnings, he was shot and killed.

The initial 911 call came at 6am from Andrew's hysterical 13 year old daughter. According to police, the girl told the 911 operator the screaming was so horrible and her mother was yelling at her dad to stop.

The Connecticut State Police are still investigating the case trying to sort out exactly what happened on that morning of February 16.
